Not sure why…but the part of his audition video that shows him behind the automotive counter at the dealership he was working at makes me smile every time. Probably because I worked at Sears selling tires, automotive and hardware after high school at Sears while trying to get my “big break” in radio. Just shows that it CAN be done!

On a personal level, I have a standing rule that I won’t endorse anything that I am not genuinely a fan of.  When the opportunity presented itself to be able to talk about El Pollo Loco, I jumped at the chance.  Grew up on it, LOVE it, CRAVE it.

They still rock.

Everybody is pretty jacked around the radio station ever since we added Gavin Rossdale to the Summerthing 2009 line-up. I went and dusted off my old Bush “16 stones” CD AND had a chance to see him perform at the Fillmore on Tuesday night(see the blog below).  The dude is just COOL.  And you know he’s got a family with just about the neatest chick I have ever met.  Gwen is the sexy/skater chick/tomboy girl next door…super nice.  Gushing about them, I know.

We will see you in Golden Gate Park on 6/21 for Summerthing.  Don’t forget, the show is free!

Ok…so I’m not supposed to announce this till 5 today.  But since you are a blog friend, I figured I would share. :) 

After weeks of Sarah and Vinnie spilling the beans(I mean “speculating” :), Gavin Rossdale has been added to the line-up for Summerthing 2009.  June 21st at Golden Gate Park in San Francisco…and it’s FREE!  I got a chance to see him perform at the Filmore last night.  The dude is an absolute rock star.  Check it out…and we will see you at the park! 

My unhealthy obsession with Rob Thomas continues.  Be sure to check him out performing live on the Today show July 3rd.  If you missed his performance on Ellen a couple weeks ago, it’s posted below(shocked? I think not).
